From 1932 until 1960, the agency was known as "The Dan Boyette Agency", so named after its founder, Dan Boyette, Sr. In 1960, Julian Robertson joined the agency changing the name to the present name of "Boyette & Robertson Agency". Since that time, Mr. Robertson has worked in all aspects of the business operation. He particularly enjoys helping business and commercial clients find solutions to their insurance needs. He has worked extensively with health care providers in obtaining affordable malpractice insurance, and has had much experience in this area of specialized insurance coverages. David Robertson joined the agency in 1983 after Dan Boyette's retirement and also has served in all aspects of the business operation. He is a graduate of the School of Business at East Carolina University and also the Institute of Insurance of the Independent Agents of North Carolina, Inc. David has worked extensively with all the agency's commercial clients, but also works with individuals and families to design and provide the insurance coverages they need. He currently is President of the agency, and serves as manager of the day-to-day operations of the business. Barbara Jones joined the agency in 1970 and has worked in all aspects of the business operation. She services the agency's commercial and individual and family clients, and helps them identify their insurance needs and finds ways to satisfy those needs. She works directly with many of the agency's clients, and maintains a personal familiarity with their needs. Wilma Smith joined the agency in1986.
